Proud Partner of Musselburgh Racecourse - Oktoberfest Raceday
On Saturday, 12 September 2026, The Royal Regiment of Scotland attended Musselburgh Racecourse for Oktoberfest Raceday. We were a proud partner of this Raceday, which featured seven flat races, of which we sponsored two.
The event was open to all members of our SCOTS association, with both serving soldiers and veterans coming together to enjoy a great day of racing. Guests were held in the Queen’s Stand where they could enjoy a fantastic balcony view, and a delicious three-course meal between the races.
Before our first race, Corporal Cruachan IV made an appearance and paraded through the Grandstand taking plenty of time to meet excited racegoers and was interviewed by Boogie (in the Morning). Don’t worry though, Cruachan gave the racehorses a fair chance by not taking part in any of the races.
This year’s Oktoberfest Raceday came at an exciting 20th anniversary year for both SCOTS and Musselburgh and has reinforced the strong relationship between the organisations. We are proud to be Musselburgh’s Official Community Partner for 2026.
