THE HERITAGE APPEAL

In 2026, The Royal Regiment of Scotland will celebrate its 20th anniversary – a significant milestone in our regimental history.  To mark this occasion we have recently launched our Heritage Appeal, a campaign to:

RESPECT, REMEMBER, INVEST

The Colonel of the Regiment,  Major General Robin Lindsay CBE, has said - "This appeal is about much more than bricks and mortar—it’s about our people. It’s about respecting those that serve today, remembering those who have gone before us and investing for the enduring benevolence of our soldiers, our veterans and their families. Every contribution to the appeal, no matter how small, will make a real difference.  Together we can honour our past and shape our future."

THE APPEAL HAS THREE OBJECTIVES

First, to raise funds for the enduring benevolence of our serving soldiers, our veterans and their families.  Second, to fund the design, build and installation of a SCOTS statue in West Princes Street Gardens, Edinburgh, a regimental rally point for commemoration, reflection and pride and to be unveiled in July 2026.  Third, to fund the complete redevelopment of our regimental museum in Edinburgh Castle to create a world class visitor experience that will also be the regimental hub for veteran and civic engagement, education and most importantly showcase our distinguished history.
