1015 - 1 SCOTS Commemoration service commences

A small service at the 1 SCOTS Memorial, Dreghorn Barracks will open the day. This commemorative event will reflect on the service of 1 SCOTS, its legacy, and remember those no longer with us. Transport will be provided to move between the Castle (at 0930) and Dreghorn Barracks. Muster on the esplanade for a complimentary coffee and filled roll courtesy of the SCOTS Association. Join the parade to our Regimental Kirk at the Canongate as the 1 SCOTS Colours move through Edinburgh for the final time. Members of 1 RANGER wishing to attend may form up as part of the SCOTS Guard (either glengarry or beret is acceptable headdress). The contingent will march from the Edinburgh Castle Esplanade down the Royal Mile to the Kirk, stepping off at 1230. Please indicate on the form which Guard you wish to be part of.

1300 - Kirk service commences

The Colours will be formally laid up at the drumhead in a service led by The Reverend Neil Gardner LVO. Family members are welcome to attend the Kirk service and should muster outside by 1250 for the arrival of the parade.
