SCOTS Officers' Black Hackle Dinner Night
1. Introduction. The SCOTS Officers’ Black Hackle dinner night will take place on Fri 21 Mar 25 in The New Club, Edinburgh and all officers are strongly encouraged to support this event.
2. Attendance. The dinner is open to all SCOTS Regular, Reserve and Cadet Officers, serving or retired. Officers from our antecedent Regiments are also invited to attend.
3. Timings and Format. Officers are to arrive at the New Club at 1915 hrs for welcome drinks in the Morning Room. A three-course dinner with wine / port will be served in the Main Dining Room at 2000 hrs. A cash/contactless bar will be available throughout the evening.
4. Entertainment. Guests will be entertained with music from the SCOTS Pipes and Drums.
5. Seating Plan. There will be tables of various sizes from 8 to 16. Officers who wish to sit with certain others should indicate this in their response.
6. Dress and Accommodation. Dress for the evening will be black tie/dress with miniature medals. It is an individual’s responsibility to arrange any accommodation requirements.
7. Cost. The cost per head will be £90. Officers who are members of the SCOTS Officers’ Fund will have their cost subsidised by 50% (£45). If you are unsure if you pay into the Officers' Fund please contact the Regimental Adjutant - scott.mcfadden102@mod.gov.uk.
8. Booking. Officers wishing to attend the dinner should click on "Book Now" at the bottom of this page by no later than Fri 7 Mar 25 and complete the form.
9. Retirement Presentation. Any SCOTS Officer who will be retiring in 2025 and would like their SCOTS Officers Fund Retirement Presentation presented at the BHD will need to annotate it on the booking form.All SCOTS Officers Fund retirement presentation must be ordered by the individual Officer via the Regimental Adjutant NLT Fri 14 Feb 25.
10. Capacity. It is expected that the dinner will reach maximum capacity, so officers are encouraged to book early to avoid disappointment.
11. Payment. On completion of the booking form, you will receive an email with the link for payment. Please ensure you make payment on receipt of this email using BHD and the 1st 5 letters of your surname (BHDSMITH) as the reference so your payment can easily be reconciled on the Officers' Fund account.
